RYA Volunteer Award for Peter Smerdon

For those of you don't know about what Peter has given to the sport and our club in particular

He was a founding member back in 2003

He served as our third Commodore and has been the club secretary since 2006
-
He is also secretary of the RYA Regional Volunteer Team
-
He represents HOEOCA on the BBCSCA which runs the clubhouse we use
-
He completed his Yacht Master Offshore practical in 2016 and has skippered many a boat for us as well as mentoring aspiring skippers. When at work he also took colleagues for sailing trips

And, in 2015, he was a key member of HOEOCA’s successful Fastnet crew
