Honorary Secretary

My first sailing experience was in a dinghy at the Island Sailing Club in Salcombe and I loved it.

I was lucky enough to work for Lloyds Bank in the 80s and gained my initial yacht sailing experience as crew on their boats Dark Horse and Thoroughbred.

Deciding to get a bit more serious, I undertook my RYA Day Skipper and Coastal Skipper theory classes (3 times!) at The Heart of England School with Jim and Vic. I also hold Coastal Skipper practical which I gained through Southern Sailing.

My husband John and I have been lucky enough to own owned 2 Moodys, 36' Moody Blue and 41' In the Mood which we kept in Gosport Marina. 

On these we undertook many HOEOCA rallies, crossed the channel several times, enjoyed sailing in the Solent  with our family and took part in the Round the Island 3 times.
