I started sailing at the age of 20, my first introduction was straight into trapeezing on an International 14. Later I had a RS400 and competed on the open circuit, including the Melges 24.

I have sailed as crew around a lot of the coastline of British Isles on a variety of boats. I've also completed a transatlantic race and was part of the winning crew. 

I completed my RYA Yachtmaster Offshore in 2006 and I'm also a dinghy instructor. Now I'm retired, I've enjoyed both racing and cruising with HOEOCA and am still racing my RS Aero at Draycote Water.
