Committee Member Overseas Cruising

I started sailing in1990 when I inadvertently signed up for a competent crew course in Falmouth and loved it. I cut my sailing teeth over the next 5 years with the Allied Lyons Sailing Club as well as undertaking the RYA theory courses in London. 

I'm qualified to Coastal Skipper level but prefer to organise trips and I enjoy victualling and feeding the crew.

Moving to the Midlands in 1995, I joined HOEOCA and served on the committee for nearly 20 years, many of them as Rear Commodore Cruising and, latterly, as Commodore until 2018.

In 2001 I started the "Hot Hot Hot" trips. These trips take us to the Mediterranean in September every year. We have also been to the BVIs, Thailand and even on a "Flat, Flat, Flat" cruise in Holland.
