Interested in navigation and skippering skills? This 20-week RYA Day Skipper Theory focused- learning course starts on Monday 5  October and is run by HOEOCA member Tony Campion at 2nd Meridian Training. It runs on Monday and Wednesday evenings 7pm - 9pm and over two Saturday mornings on 7 & 21 November, 9am - 12noon. The RYA Day Skipper and Watch Leader syllabus includes seamanship, coastal navigation and pilotage, chart work, electronic charts, position fixing, plotting a course to steer, tides, weather forecasting and meteorology and collision regulations. Details here.
