TRAINING - RYA Coastal Skipper/Yachtmaster Theory 2027

OVERVIEW

Interested in progressing your navigation and skippering skills? This 19-week RYA Coastal Skipper/Yachtmaster Theory focused-learning course starts on Monday 5 January, 7pm - 9pm, and will be run by HOEOCA member Tony Campion at 2nd Meridian Training. It runs on Monday evenings in the classroom and via a virtual session on Wednesdays, allthough the first of these will be Tuesday 6 January. There are also two Saturday morning sessions on 23 January  and 6 February, 9am - 12noon. More information here.

The RYA Coastal Skipper syllabus takes seamanship, coastal navigation and pilotage, chart work, electronic charts, position fixing, plotting a course to steer, tides, weather forecasting and meteorology and collision regulations to the next level. Details here.
