RACING - Prometheus Sunsail Race Weekend 11 - 12 October

OVERVIEW

Prior to relaunching our racing activities in 2026,  we are taking part in the last of this series for 2025. 

The weekend will start from Port Solent at 1600 on Friday and we will take part in 5 or 6 individual round the cans races on the Saturday and Sunday. Courses will be set for conditions on the day. More details on the Series can be found here. The intention is to move the boat to Cowes on the Saturday. Boats will be due back in Port Solent by 1700 on the Sunday.

Keith Harding has been engaged as our skipper for the weekend. 

There will be a maximum of 10 crew, including the skipper. Any numbers over 8 will need to be accommodated on shore for the Friday and Saturday evenings. 

COST

Cost per person £335, based on a minimum of 7 paying crew plus skipper, to include the skipper fee, boat charter, race entry and damage waiver. Paying the waiver will reduce any crew liability to £1,200 total. 

Any onshore accommodation (needed for a crew of 9 or 10) will be absorbed across the crew, and this would reduce the overall cost per person to c£300.

Additional costs include fuel, marina fees, meals out, on board food and drinks.

Complete the October 2025 Race Booking Form below ASAP, selecting the Manual Payment option and follow the instructions in the confirmation email to pay the deposit. 

As we are building for next season, we'd like to think that those signing up will be keen to be involved going forward. Please think carefully about this before taking a place that could be better allocated. If this is the case (i.e. you cannot commit/aren't sure at this stage) then please email Stuart Jones to express your interest should excess places be available.

Once the boat is filled, and final calculations done, you will be notified of the balance due.
