Martin Woods will lead this month's 'Land Cruise' of around 6 or 7 miles, depending on how much history we take in, around Bosworth Battle site.

There'll be plenty of history and information as we go around the walk so that will take sometime and control the pace of the walk. The walk is largely flat, taking in farmland, lanes and the Ashby de la Zouch canal, with only very very slight slopes. There are 9 stiles and one gate to climb.

Start at Sutton Wharf car park on the canal where there's a cafe/ bar, parking and toilet facilities ( postcode CV13 0AD).

As usual meet at 10am for a prompt 10.15pm start. You can bring lunch with you for a stop on the way although we'll visit the visitor centre late in the walk that also has a cafe.

A couple of links, the Sutton Wharf cafe for the start and the Bosworth Battle Visitor Centre for the history boffins who may want to swat up in advance.

If you'd like to join the walk please let Peter and Martinknow so that we know who to expect.
