TRAINING - Marine Radio Course 14 March

OVERVIEW

An opportunity to gain your Short Range Certificate (SRC).  It's a pre-requisite to being a Skipper and is a very useful skill to have on board.  You'll learn how to make routine calls as well as emergency calls the classroom. 

The Operator’s Licence involves some pre-work, 7 hours in a classroom and a 1 hour exam. 

During the one-day session you'll practice on Digital Selective Calling Radio Sets and complete exercises. In addition, you'll learn how the modern DSC Radio fits into the Global Maritime Distress and Safety System.

Tony Campion will be running the one- day course at Shustoke Sailing Club, B46 2BE.

COST

Course Fee is £95 (to include RYA VHF Handbook G31).

Examination Fee of £76 payable to the RYA.
