Land 'Cruises'
We're now able to offer a land cruises - AKA rambles. Current Government Guidelines allow up to six people from different households to spend time together outdoors, as long as social distancing is maintained.
For our first 'cruise' two boats of four sailors went on a passage og 6.9nm around Claverdon on Wednesday 1 July and we're doing a second on Wednesday 22 July from Kenilworth. Full details are available here.

Crosswords
We're publishing a series of crosswords in the newsletter and also on the webste here, where you'll also find the answers after a suitable time. Many thanks to Keith Knight for these.
Lockdown Quizzes
Three months and six rounds later we can finally reveal that the overall winner of the Quiz Series was Michael Skinner with an unassailiable four first places. Many congtratulations to Michael and many thanks to Keith Harding, Judy Lambourne and all the other contributors for making it possible. There's also and a big thank you to Keith and the owners of Sea Myth for making their boats avaibalbe for the winners' shared cost weekend. It was a very close run contest in the end.

Theory Refreshers
Club member Keith Harding, and Principal of the RYA Training School Reach 4 the Wind, has very kindly put together some on line materials specifically for HOEOCA members to brush up their theory and navigation skills. They're not intended to be a substitute to formal training, but hopefully you'll find them helpful and fun.

e-SAILING - VIRTUAL REGATTA
The RYA has been offering free access to its Virtual Regatta so we've signed up on behalf of HOEOCA Members and you can access it here.
As an individual you can also enter the game, learn how to use it and compete against others all around the world. If you want to compete and keep your score, you’ll need to create a login and user profile. You'll also have the option of entering the eSailing World & GBR National Championships.
Online Sailing Library
Stuart Jones, who co-ordinates our Speaker Programme, has put together an extensive list of sailing related movies, blogs, presentations etc to while away the lockdown hours. You'll find full details on our website here.
