Training - Boat Handling Skills 20 - 22 April 2018

Boat Handling Skills

Friday 20 - Sunday 22 April 2018, leaving from Ocean Village, Southampton

The HOEOCA boat handling skills weekend is a golden opportunity to brush up on your sailing skills for the season ahead. The weekend will be totally tailored and focused on the requirement of the members on board, whether you need to practice or refresh your mooring skills, or learn more about sail trim in light medium or heavy airs (depending on the weather), your close quarter boat handling under sail and or power, picking up mooring buoys, anchoring under both sail and power, or you just wish to come along and see how it is all done then this is the weekend for you.

The training is excellent. I can personally vouch for this course it was the confidence builder for me stepping up to skipper a boat.

If you wish to include a particular activity you can discuss it either with Mark Parker beforehand (07964 980148) or Keith Harding (07831 431197).

The cost for the weekend for HOEOCA members is £195 per person if 6 people sign up or £225 if there are less than 6. The cost includes any mooring fees, all food eaten on board (Friday evening meal and breakfast and lunches) all instruction and use of Reach 4 the Wind wet weather gear if needed.

Please contact Mark Parker, rc.training@hoeoca.org.uk, 07964 980148, to reserve a place.
